Southern Ocean

 

The Southern Ocean is a modern, fuel efficient, DP2, multi-role construction / intervention vessel, with specialised equipment installed to undertake the relevant services. The principal features are as follows:

• 2400 m² of clear back deck space.
• 2 x Offshore cranes
  • 1 x 250T, active heave compensated knuckle boom main crane.
  • 1 x 110T, active heave compensated knuckle boom auxiliary crane
• A modern, well-appointed, accommodation module with a capacity for 120 personnel (50no single cabins & 35no double cabins) meaning additional personnel can be onsite providing greater flexibility for the project. The accommodation is designed and built to the Norwegian Clean Comfort Class V which means a greater level of comfort with reduced noise and vibration.
• Various 'on-line' and 'off-line' rooms, offices and conference facilities with internet and lan connections.
• Lounges, internet, cinema, gymnasium and sauna.
